Description: Victorian 18ct Gold Diamond Emerald Garter / Jarretiere Bracelet. This is a fabulous item. The bracelet is held fastened by the slider which easily runs along the length of the bracelet and can be removed completely as you see in the pics. Its a very clever design on the fastener because it holds really firm when fastened. I wore this bracelet for a couple of full days to check how secure it was and it held firm all day. At no point did it ever come loose.

This jewellery was made by award winning jeweller Pat Cheney who worked as a designer for Ortak for a few years. They are generally signed MG for Ortak or PPC if a bit older. Its rather unfortunate that the strike on the hallmark is not terribly clear so I cant determine which exactly. I can however just make out the castle and a 375 - but the rest of the hallmark is not easily readable.
