Jewelscollectingdust has pleasure in bringing you these new craftsman made items. Many of these items are based on old historical designs revived and bought back into the 21st Century.
This jewellery has all been handmade by talented Goldsmith / Jeweller Trevor Green who has 40 years experience in the Jewelery Industry. Trevor and his wife Mary run a small manufacturing business in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter from their shop Crock 'O' Gold.
All items shown here are entirely hand made in fine metals on their premises so this is one of those rare occassions these days that you can say your items will be entirely british made.

This ring is available in both 9ct and 18ct gold and is specifically mnade to order in your required size. Upon purchase please be aware that you must allow up to three weeks for the ring to be individually made and then sent to the assay office for hallmarking. So please be patient regarding the necessary waiting time, they are well worth it.

Description: This is a wonderful 18ct 18k Gold English Fede Gimmel Ring. The design of these rings dates back to the 12th century although they were also given as engagerment rings in europe during renaissance times. You will find examples of early Fede rings in museum collections around the world including the Victoria & Albert Museum and also the Birmingham Museum. The head of the ring with the clasped hands is known as Fede and the fact that it is composed of three interlocking rings fitting together also makes this a Gimmel ring . The ring holds a secret - when removed from the finger you may pull the hands apart to reveal a hidden heart that lies underneath the clasped hands making this a lovely romantic gesture to give to a loved one. This item is brand new - made by talented english jeweller craftstman who has copied an age old design bringing it back into the 21st century. These rings are individually made to order and bear full english Birmingham Assay Hallmarks.
